FAQ
Can I order my coffee ground? Which grind should I choose?
Absolutely. We can grind your coffee for you before shipping.
Just tell us how you brew your coffee — espresso machine, moka pot, AeroPress, V60, Chemex, French press, filter machine, etc. — and we'll grind it accordingly.
If you have a grinder at home, though, we always recommend ordering whole beans and grinding just before brewing. It keeps your coffee fresher and tastier for longer.
What is specialty coffee?
Specialty coffee is coffee that stands out because of its quality, distinctive flavours, origin and the care taken throughout the entire process — from growing and processing to roasting and brewing.
For us, it means working with coffees that have character, traceability and a story behind them, and roasting them in a way that lets their natural qualities shine.
No burnt, anonymous coffee here.
How long will my order take?
We prepare and ship your coffee as quickly as possible so it reaches you fresh.
Delivery times depend on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout. Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive your tracking information by email. Usually around 3-5 working days.
What's the difference between specialty coffee and regular coffee?
The biggest difference is quality and traceability.
Specialty coffee is selected for its distinctive characteristics and carefully handled throughout the whole process. You can usually trace where it comes from, how it was processed and what makes that particular coffee unique.
Commercial coffee is generally produced with consistency and volume as the priority. Specialty coffee focuses much more on the individual character of each coffee.
Think less "coffee tastes like coffee" and more "wait… why does this taste like peach?"
What roast level do you use?
We roast most of our coffees to a medium roast.
Our coffees specifically selected for filter brewing are roasted lighter, allowing more of their delicate acidity, sweetness and origin characteristics to come through.
Rather than roasting every coffee exactly the same way, our goal is simple: roast it in the way that makes that coffee taste its best.
How long does specialty coffee stay fresh after opening?
Coffee doesn't suddenly go bad after a certain number of days, but its aroma and flavour gradually fade as it comes into contact with oxygen.
For the best experience, we recommend keeping your coffee sealed, dry, away from heat and direct sunlight, and grinding only what you need just before brewing.
Whole beans stay fresh much longer than ground coffee, which is why we recommend buying whole bean whenever possible.
And one important rule: don't keep opening the bag just to smell it. We know it's tempting.
